APPLYING FOR HOMESTEAD

If you have just purchased a home, applying for homestead will be an important step. Each year, the time to apply for homestead is between January 1 and March 1. This is a substantial savings on real estate taxes. Note the below requirments and locations.

Proof of Ownership - Warranty Deed, Notice of Proposed Taxes, or Tax Receipt.
Proof of Residence - FL Driver's License, FL Car Registration, Voters Registration, U.S.card, Marriage License, and/or social security card.
